There are many bicycle shops in Japan, but the shop selling sports bike
(like road racer , MTB etc.) is not so many. If you want to go such kind
of shop, you'd better to search in a big city like the prefectural capital.
Rent-a-bike
Rent-a-bike is not popular in Japan, but there some. I will upload one

Used Bike
The market handling used bikes in Japan is small. It is hard to buy them
for tripper, I think. I recommend you to bring your bike to Japan. Someday
it will be more popular. I will upload the shops one by one.
