Public Bath
There are few coinoperated shower in Japan, But don't worry. Many Japanese
love bath and Japan is a volcano land, so there are variety of poblic bath
and spa in all around Japan. If you use them, your touring become more
comfortable! Please use and enjoy them.
Public Bath House: "Sento"
You can find public bath house : "Sento" in many towns and cities.

It is cheapest public bath. They are open from around PM 4:00 to PM 11:00
(But it depends on the shop). And many Sento have laundromat. It is good way to get in Sento, while you are washing clothes.

How to get in Japanese style public bath
1. Pay entrance fee at a reception.

2. Take off your all clothes in a dressing area.
There are locker with key in the area. Don't leave key.

Some public bath don't have key locker, have only baskets. In the case,
you'd better to entrust your valuables (passport, purse, etc.) to reception.
3. Get in a bath.
Caution!: Before getting in a bath, please wash your body. It is the manner
in public bath.

Many of Onsen open from morning untill night. The system is same as Sento.
In fact, in many cases it is difficult to distinguish Onsen from Sento.
Healthy Land: "Kenko Rando"
If you know the Healthy Land: "Kenko Rando", your touring may
become comfortable. Most of them opens all the night and have temporary
sleep area, so you can stay there all the night. There are many Healthy
Land in many cities. Remember "Kenko Rando".
